Time to Move on!

I joined a Microsoft based news website about 6 & half month ago with a passion of writing and big fan of Lumia (yeah, I still have 3). I really had a great time working with team and interacting with Windows Insiders.

But, form last couple of week I was thinking that I am not doing my best. Not just in writing about Microsoft Technology on Windows Latest but also writing about Science & Technology on Fancy Frindle, in study, developing WordPress theme, other projects and the SOCIAL life. So, the juggling with real world, managing study, doing some professional work has become somewhat difficult. And I decided to move on by cutting one of the thing from it.

Anyway here it is, I decided to leave Windows Latest and move on. 6 and half month over 200 posts 10+ software reviews and couple of events. I really enjoyed working with the Windows Latest team. And the reason why I joined the Windows Latest is already accomplished last month. Both the team and readers always appreciate my work and personally I also learned many things to by reviewing software.

So, thanks for having me! Here’s to the future!

There is one more exciting news coming on Monday.

After numerous failed rough draft, I finally wrote my masterpiece.

My dustbin was the only reader.

TulnaDB : Got another experience

About 2 months ago, I got an opportunity to make a web app in PHP. Thanks to a friend, who recommended me to his friend. Later on, after understanding the requirements and a quick analysis on project, I decided to work on it with some conditions.

I’m not professional developer, so I told them that “I’m not so sure that I can implement all the features that they are demanding. I do need help or I quit the project.” But it took different turn. They told me that “You just initialize the project, we will accept whatever you made. No offence.”

But then comes mid-semester exam 😦

Well, I am still student, so of course I need to focus on study first. So, I requested for extra time, well of course that thing worked out very well. They gave me few more days to finish it.

(To be honest, I haven’t started working on this project, until my exams were over.)

But still I was able to finish the 60-65% of back-end work of the project within few days, which includes almost all major features of admin area. In addition also created dummy front-end which I am not proud of. Later on last weekend (on 19th March), I’ve decided to quit the project and submitted the project due to a personal reason (will share later). Although I am little sad that I’m not able to finish entire project. But I really enjoyed working on it.

And guess what that Project Horkos is in fast lane. Yeah, will share more details about it. Cheers 🙂

Project Horkos: It’s gonna be Gradient

In Greek mythology, the figure of Horkos personifies the curse that will be inflicted on any person who swears a false oath.

So from that I adopted the name of the next project. You might be wondering about What is Project Horkos? Then here’s the simple answer. Project Horkos is a personal project.

It is basically a WordPress theme. I have lots of idea to implement. It will have tons of customization option to display the content on website effectively so that search engine and audience of the website can also get it simply. It will have unlimited color option, user can simply the choose the color they want from a simple color picker and of course also by submitting the hex-code.

In addition to that it will have couple of customization features on blog page too. e.g. Grid UI, list UI. I have decided that to keep the entire theme in a various gradient color combination.

Future Plan

I have couple of ideas to display the post page in different ways, not just by hiding or changing the sidebar position, Here I am talking about the main content area. However I need to first design few pages before implementing it.

I really hope that the Project Horkos will surely put my work to new level. And guess what? I will publish it for free!

Any suggestions are welcome via comment or contact us page. Cheers 😉
